Pakistan was hit by one of the worst quakes in the history of the world yesterday. All of us now are responsible for playing our part in the relief effort in one way or another. Be it by providing supplies/donations to edhi foundation or any other way you might find suitable.

It is requested that all of you pitch in this thread by mentioning the names of different organizations which are currently conducting relief efforts for the quake victims and the ways in which we can help them.

Now I want all of you to play your part. I hope I donot get to see a single word of spam, there are times in one's life when you do have to get serious. This is a testing moment for the Pakistani nation. Be a part of the relief effort, thats your duty as a Pakistani.


1. Ufone and Mobilink mobile users can donate 3 rupees to earthquake victims by sending an SMS with DONATE to number 436. You can repeat the process for whatever amount you want to donate. The money will be deducted from your mobile balance and goes directly to people suffering from disaster.

2. If you wish to donate to the President's Relief Fund, just deposit your donations in any National Bank branch all over Pakistan.

HEy Just Witnessed tht Edhi n other orgs. hav set up different relief stalls around public places n ppl r giving there warm clothes , blankets medicines n other edible goods n items or b directly used ie instantly by the victims .....

So do give stuff ( Food < Blankets , Medicines , Clothes , Mattresseses etc ) to the victims at these stalls so tht they are able to use them instanytly ....

I have a couple of places where u can donate all kinds of stuff and I believe they r reliable too.

Before I give u guys the contact details, a few pointers... The survivors need food and shelter right now, these r the 2 most important supplies they need. Remember! they r out there in the rain and cold without their homes and any food or water.

Now! Food items should b "non-perishable", meaning they should b dry... cheapest and most effective of which would b:

1- Dry Chanay
2- Dates
3- Makhaanay (sweet white balls of sugar)
4- Biscuits
5- Dry fruits of all kinds

All these things r really cheap and readily available. Please pack them in cartons or wrap them up in plastic bags and seal them with tape. Also, write the contents of the packet on the package. Any effort u make today will inshallah b rewarded by Allah Taala.

In addition to these urgent requirements, u can donate anything u can... plz donate whether it is a small item.
