it is a scam
faking email addresses (from Microsoft in this case) is one of the oldest tricks in the book and kids in o levels used to do this back in the early 2000s there are literally hundreds of programs out there for this purpose |

What should be intriguing is why would anyone want to know Wanxta's real id and especially his residential address?
If I were in his place, I would give them fake info and an address of someone I know vaguely (a neighbor or an empty house where only a chokidar lives whom I know indirectly but be sure that it can't lead them to me). Just to see their next move.

Spoofing is one of the oldest tricks in the fraudulent schemes.
Most of the spam you recieve is sent from the web servers of non-tech-savvy web Admins who leave their SMTP ports unprotected. Even you can do it . Just find an SMTP server that allows sending public email. You can find guides on the internet telling exactly how to spoof your email. Its just a set of commands typed sequentially using the command prompt built into your computer. |
