Default WET battery on DRY battery UPS (APC/Mercury)

hi.....i wanted to know if it is possible to get a mercury/alpha etc UPS and take out their dry battery(prolly 10-12amps ones) and attatch a wet battery(50amp or more).

wud that be possible?....wud that work or not...i mean to increase these UPS's backup time from 10-12 mins to 1hr or so.

yeah u can take it to any electrition and he can do the Job..
thats not a prob at all.
its can be done.
what i have planned is that i am going to make a circuit in parallel in which i will connect 3 50Amp batteries..
and in this way they all will be charged in an hour as the charging time will be the same coz all are connected in parrel and will give a backup time of almost 2 or 3 hours.
and that will be gr8...
attach a fan or 2.....some energy savers and the pc

buy one single 108mAh battery, saves space, lasts longer, more power, less maintainence.. you`ll find them on chowk yateem khana, if you cant find them anywhere else..

i am gona go for a 1Kva Ups, with two 108Mah Batteries for my setup soon...

go for 1.2KVA

remember if you are going with two batteries than u should get much better amperes and also see if the number of plates on both of them are more than the single one! thats a good sign ! if not than ur going with smaller batteries!

so u think connecting 3 50AH or 1 150AH WET BATTERY with these imported UPS (ALPHA/APC/MERCURY)....this will work? we just hav to remove the battery that comes with it....and attatch our wet ones on those points...that shud increase the backup time to 2hrs or so?

if that works then WHY THE HELL PPL SAY GO FOR DESI ONES???

these ALPHA and APC ones give much more stable voltages then these stupid DESI ones.

idk abt Imported ones....but when i went to HALL ROAD to get my DESI one.....they told me that u cant attatch a single battery with 1kW one

so i had to buy a 700Watt one as i was short on money and cud only afford one battery
