UMT Vs UCP(PCBA)

So which is better ? and why?

Can't really say much about which is better... But UMT has it's share of problems...

1. Management (not the Lecturers) is slow, cuts corners and generally doesn't give a damn about the quality of education.

2. Good lecturers tend to move on pretty soon. Some of the entrenched faculty is okay but the quality lecturers always leave for better pastures usually due to interference by the management.

3. The Science and Engineering department is not that great. Computer Science enrollment is extremely low and recently they shut down the Computer Engineering degree.

4. Academic competition is very low. Student body is generally mixed. Plus, UMT is stuffing students as fast as it can enroll them so overcrowding is starting to occur in all the different programs.

On the up side;

The School of Business is much better run and actually has a dean who knows what he's doing. There are a lot of talks and seminars being held and UMT is actually attracting qualified people to come and speak here. The IT department is trying to get better, the computer lab and library is fairly decent. So there's hope yet.

BBA (UMT) Vs BBA (UCP,PCBA)

PCBA sux all the way..

I got just 856 marks in Inter and was getting 100% scholarship (although had to continue like this in next semesters as well to again get schlrshp)...

If you are specifcally concerned abt Business Administration, in Lahore, IBA (PU) is the bestest of all....it pawns every other BBA college... Merit wise, Fame wise...everything... but the thing is how to get there

to be very frank IBA Karachi is more recoginized the IBA PU .

and yes if you compare PCBA with UMT my vote for PCBA ( x student )

LSE is way better in all aspects compared to these B grade universities
ask ANY top recruiter

grade doesnt matter...tel me how many of the recruiting executives know anythng abt wich uni is on wt grade? thts al bulshit... paying way more in a private university doesnt mean its the best in town... and IBA being deprtmant of Govt University doesnt mean its low grade... thats the HIGHEST MERIT rated college/dept in the whole lahore for BBA... I got 856 in inter and 88 (99.47 percentile ) in NTS and still got admission in AFTERNOON session at IBA...

my friend got just above 60% marks in INTER and is now studying at LSE... i mean wtf... is this wut LSE's all abt...money and nothing else??

can you tell me 1 aspect where this PU IBA or any other college in lahore is better (except LUMS). Lets talk about recruitment. Everyone knows where top companies hire from. How many graduates of PU IBA are in HSBC, RBS, Unilever, ICI, P&G, Nestle??? I am sure none...and guess what....each company has LSE graduates as MTs....

You wanna talk about knowledge and stuff....How many PU IBA graduates are invited to conferences all over the world? How many get offers from Goldman Sachs and hedge funds?

While we are at it lets also talk about average pay....for LSE grads its 40k....and what about PU IBA? 15k? 20k?

I can go on and on....seriously this would be a waste of time....if u still wanna live in ur dreamworld go ahead

yes today i was in convocation good news but bad that we will not be in new campus
