A very important step, indeed. Punjab police (constable) basic pay + allowance have all been increased to almost Rs. 15000 a month. That's over a 100% increase. And it's considered implemented since April 1st, 2009.

I don't support Shahbaz for no reason (Double negative).

Our system is so messed up. Just thinking, is this for regular police or like the ranking officers as well? Because the officers are really "federal". Moreover, wouldn't other police feel negleted that once again Punjabis are getting a better treatment?

It's an excellent step. You can't expect continous good job without appreciating the job well done in monetary form and otherwise.

Nice step taken by the government.

I won't say that it'll put stop to bribing, because once stuck in this mud, there's no coming back.

But this way we'll see more people joining the police.

Frontier Constabulary. Frontier Corps is Army. What people refer to FC is the former and that's paramilitary or what in Urdu (Pashtu) is referred to as "Khasadar".
