Pakistan put its forces on high alert after a hoax caller pretending to be India's foreign minister spoke to President Asif Ali Zardari (the man in my signature ) in a threatening manner....
Caller posing as Indian FM Pranab Mukherjee, also tried to call US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, but due to specific checks by US officials the call was not put through (that means we can call Zardari from a PCO ? )


I think President must lodge a complain to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority....

Funxlab, I hope that you do realize the gravity of things and how Indians are behaving in this aftermath. According to them, the call itself was made from within Pakistan (despite the number being that of Parnab Mukhurjee).

Do you've the slightest idea as to what sort of a propaganda campaign will that make? That someone from our security / intelligence agencies chose to up the ante between the two countries. Since step 1 of their plan didn't work, now they're trying something better.

It all started late on Friday, November 28. Because of the heightened tension over the Mumbai carnage, some senior members of the presidential staff decided to bypass the standard procedures meant for such occasions, including verification of the caller and involvement of the diplomatic missions, and transferred the late-evening call to Mr Zardari. The caller introduced himself as Pranab Mukherjee and, while ignoring the conciliatory language of the president, directly threatened to take military action if Islamabad failed to immediately act against the supposed perpetrators of the Mumbai killings.

Guys something similar happend a female Hollywood actor or someone , recentyl, i dont recall the event, it was identified as a French or some country's senior official and the girl talk to him like crazy and then later find out that it was a hoax... any one remember it... it happends very recently... either Hollywood girl or Meera

It wasn't an actress, it was Sarah Palin, VP candidate, who got a prank call from someone identifying themselves are President Sarkozy of France.

...and there are many other examples but when it comes to India and Pakistan....sepcially at this time it gets very serious...but initially no news channel told what happened after that call....

PAF was put on red alert, and fighters plans in air, just like them I had no idea how serious things got after that.

BUT
Indians claimed that it was originated from within Pakistan and you beleived that it was "someone" from Paksitani intelligence agencies...Well if you fall so blindly for their claims then its your choice but......

It requires Indian Air Force to go on Red alert within 15 minutes if PAF is on red alert due to distance of Islamabad to Kashmir and Karachi to Bombay, in History this red alert was immedaite if one side ever puts its Air Force on red alert, but this time Indian Air Force wasn't put on red alert even after days.

Can you tell me why ?

It was certainly to check possible response from Paksitani side. US states deptt also confirmed that US Sectary of State was also called at the same time from the same number while Parnab Makar Gee has said he was in air at that time so it wasn't possible.

But have you read about Indian changing statements on this issue?
These are:

1- No, our FM didn't call President Zardari.
2- yes, there is a parallel exchange in D-block of our Foreign office that can use FM numbers.

Pakistan or any country will never take a chance doing such a stupid blame game thing that can be exposed so quickly due to its technical aspects, every call outside Pakistan MUST come through PTCL International Gateway exchange, in an investigation if there is no such record in PTCL Int. exchange of any call coming, we may say that grey telephony might be used and India wasn't involved. But why would Pakistani Intelligence agencies will take such a technical chance ? World leaders called PM and President next day morning and they were informed of this call thing

Note: PK govt didn't disclosed this thing immediately but if you can read Daily Jang (30th Nov 2008), Pakistani govt complained that Parnab Makar-Gee was quite threatening during his phone call....this issue came in press after 6 days...
