Bomb Blast in Islamabad Marriott Hotel

A huge bomb blast occured at marriot hotel at about 7:30 pm

All floors caught fire a.d uptill now 40 casualties and many injured..

This is worst in the History of Islamabad. After one and a half hour we can see all floors burning, people inside rooms and crying for help but there are no enough emergency relief equipment /competency available. It is said Armed forces have better equipment for such emergency work.

Cars flew and dropped in NWFP house. You can imagine the intensity of the blast. Absolutely causalities are in hundreds not in tens.

There was an iftar dinner going on there ........ this is really sad ..... last week on this very same time i was in Sarina Hotel Islamabad as an iftar dinner was given by my company to all the employees ........... a lot of families were there as well................ this could happen to any one of us ............ A lot of senior management employees (foreigners) of multi national companies are staying in these Hotels ........ i remember when i used to work in Mobilink their CTO was staying permanently in Marriott..... how could we encourage foreign investors when they know their lives can be in danger here .........

Total carnage although I am at a total loss of words, innocent people killed and the guys at the Parliament House were busy having an Iftar party!.....Absolutely inexplicable to say the least but as said above its the last nail in our coffin.... . Lets save our lives, then we will talk about economy. So far Islamabad administration has completely failed to provide enough relief.

Unfortunately in a country which is the biggest victim of suicide attacks has no expertise for disaster management. For sure our b@stard rulers (especially Musharraf) intentionally did nothing to bring a completely mechanism to cope with such incidents to provide enough relief work. These @ssholes don't give up luxurious facilities and buildings and give some disaster management system at least in bigger cities of Pakistan.

Till now around 60 people or more people have been confirmed dead and over 150 injured and the figures are expected to rise even further unfortunately .

and I heard that a small car first came and struck the main gate which paved the way for a big truck laced with explosives to strike.. the place where it exploded made a 15ft hole.. a very very sad day for our country.. lets just pray for better days.. god bless Pakistan.
