Bomb Blast in Islamabad Marriott Hotel

After every blast, ten minutes after it we hear that it was a suicide attack. No one ask for its confirmation. I remember when BB was attacked in Khi on 27th October 2007, a one blast after another and reporter shouted

"aur jay aik aur khud-kush dhamaka"

For everyone of you, after blast in POF Wah Cantt, PAF jet planes bombed and killed 700 (yes 700) civilians in Bajour. Believe it or not, as it is not reported in media, but those of you having relatives in Army and deployed there may confirm it.

That FATA area is not conquerable by any means. We have been using army for 3-4 years now, lets try something more intelligent, shall we.

100% agreed ... I always said the the only way to kill those stupid ignorant rascal mullahs in FATA n Northern areas is to engage them in a political trap instead of start bombing them ... once u engaged them in some kind of political trap, its easy to kill them without even firing a single bullet, they are ignorant and sheer idiots ... but very strict in their customs and traditions so its not right to engage in full fledge war with them ... But its important to show them ur power time by time, only depending on agreements is another mistake ...

I really want Pakistani Govt to take hold of all madrassas in Pakistan, give them funds, give them teachers who are not mullahs ... regulate them strictly ... What the F..kk Man ... its annoying ... How much how freaking much we have to suffer by these stupid religious extremists ...

And about people saying we need to stop Musharraf's policy on war on terror, i say it just like we are doing good work and they are trying to stop us, and once they are gone, there will be peace.

Why Iran is not stnading with US to fight this war against terrorisim when they even have differences with Talibans and Al-Qaeda ? And thus having peace in their country.

man this is the whole point me and smokenfog were discussing. look, if you think that killing each and everything that moves in FATA will bring peace to Pakistan then I am afraid dude this is not gonna happen. We need to change the thinking of the people behind such attacks, killing some of them will only add fuel to fire. its a vicious cycle. there wont be any winner, only foreign powers are getting benefit because they are watching the only Islamic Nuclear power getting self-destructed.

This is an awful news and makes me feel sad about the internal affairs of Pakistan. We should device an alternate strategy to our approach in FATA otherwise such cowardly acts might stem up from time to time. Perhaps engaging with the tribal people at every level would suffice but everything seems so dark.

On one hand we have the US banging at the door and on the other we have a mini-civil war going on in a tit-for-tat display. Pakistan is in really tight corner but planning has to be done to make things better. Pakistan's foreign policy of holding a 'kashkool' will not work any longer.

believe it or not guys. i think india is involved in this bomb blast. they both like to kil each other. this is not a typical taliban attack, maybe they were payed to do this.

my condolonces to people who lost their relatives, i am sad this happened in islamabad, not only this but high profile people were killed

We've tried talking to them, for the whole of 2007 and yet had over 60 suicide blasts in Pakistan. But still, a certain cross-section of the society will not recognize that fact, because it's been inculcated in our thought process (through education, society, media and political process of the last 2 decades) that as soon as the word 'Jehad' comes, we should stop using our minds and go with the flow. You'll never and I repeat - NEVER - see them condemning loss of innocent lives in terrorist acts in the same vein as they condemn loss of innocent lives in FATA or SWAT, at the hands of the army. Why? Because according to their thought process, such killing is justified.


They'd not pay attention to the fact, that these people deliberately targeted innocents which makes them as bad as the army (for some!). All they know that this killing is justified. This is how terrorists justify their very survival in our society, through the likes of these very people.
