Default Booting from SATA hdd in ASUS mobo

I have a PKPL-VM and/or a P5GC-MX

It has a SATA hdd and a SATA DVD-RW.

After the addition of a third IDE HDD, it is longer booting form my SATA HDD.

During boot-up it attempts to boot from the IDE HDD, then the DVD-RW and then it pops up the usual error.

The only way for me to load my Windows too press F8 during boot up and select the SATA HDD as the prefered boot up device.

The SATA HDD is being detected in the BIOS but it is not showing up in the list of prefered boot devices

Here's a HINT: http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-hardwa...sus-a7n8x.html pls elaborate this solution

Restart your system. Go to setup and Boot. There you have hard disk setting option. The option is not in the manual, but it lets you set the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Hard disks. Make the device you want to boot from, 1st. Than go to boot device settings and select the hard disk. Only one hard disk will appear in the boot device setting.
