which anti virus does not slow ur pc/laptop

nod32 slows least.. rest every one will slow it down a lot

found it to be amazing, using win 7 32bit

i uninstalled it after it keep on coming with a warning abt conficker and then said that it removed the virus sucessfully.
after that i tried loads of spywares malwares and antivirus but couldnt find conficker :/

lol if MSE removed the virus successfully then why would another antivirus / malware be able to find it.
i will say this, MSE's detection to trojans is better than symantecs.

^it was ok it was just keep on repeating virus found , virus removed for infinity . i even restarted my pc still it was repeating it every 5 seconds.

Viruses NO..

kaspersky has purely number 1 for providing the ultimate AV and Firewall and Anti-spyware in its total Internet Security package..a good firewall is essentially what you need... it wont let any trojan pass thru, then there would be no trojans and spywares to worry about to begin with, BUT, it also has an Excellent AV, which will cover that as well, if somehow a trojan SPy actually makes it past the firewall, or is installed from a DVD/CD/USB..iceman

i've never had a virus problem tbh and i've never had firewalls either.
but symantec is the biggest NO for av protection
i've used avg too, dont like it, becomes quite a resource hog
i've used mcafee (had a paid subscription) and tht was like 6 years ago and i absolutely loved it, amazing protection.
i've tried avira, bleeh didn't like it

i dont even have windows firewall and i'm running internet with DMZ enabled on my ip. its all about browsing safe and reading comments before downloading torrents.
kaspersky isn't free, and has its fair shares of troubles to run illegally.

in the same league as yours, unluckily i have been infected and devastated by Viruses and trojans, and lost Full HDs worth of data twice, thats why protection from one single software suit has always interested me..

Various AV Softwares :

Norton = Sucks ass and balls

Mcafee = AV is always great, very very weak firewal

AVG = 3rd class, balke 6th class.. both free and Pro ,.. cudnt detect viruses in fully updated versions from an HDD, while kaspersky and bitdefender detected 27 files infected by 3 types of viruses just from C drive..

MSE, = once upon a time removed IE7 from winodws Xp cuz it thought it was a malware... ~UBERFAIL..its very good now at spyware and malware, but AV protecton is stil lacking..

Kaspersky,= since version 2007 has been the king of all mofo AV suits.. not the av aalone, but the internet security package.,,has tons of features and only 60MB install,.the new version 2010 is very very fast in scaning and healing, but thats cuz the efficient coding allows it to use the full cores and ram and other resources.. granted that scan time is heavy on the PC, but it saves half the time , and performance is extremely fantastic.. One of the Highest detection rates, updates every couple of hours, speedy engine, and very capable Network monitor and firewall.. i personally disable the ANtiphishin, Anti banner, Parental control etc., cuz i dont need them, but they mite be very useful to those who use them..


Kaspersky 2010 Price/performance King :

it also has a very simple but very accurate External drive scanner, like HDD or Usb Flash disk.. and it HEALS the Autorun.,inf as compared to many who just delete it and donot reconstruct its integrity..

and the price even in pakistan is extremely ow..

3000 for the suit, for 3 PCs.. so 3 friends can have unlimited protection for the entire year, just for 1000rs only..

its softwares like these that really makes people wana buy legit softwares... Kaspersky is one of them and worth 2x every penny,,

Using it, 2010., and loving it..Everyone should share the liecences and buy the legal kaspersky 2010.. 1100rs per year for legal fully updateable super software is nothing..
