SALAM guys yaar probelms is this i ahve windows media player 9 using XP few days back i try to update it from microsoft now when i try to play movie it says some thing shity .... i asked ICE MAN he told me to uninstall player n insatll again CUZ they detect FAKE CD KEY windows and then corrupt the installation
now i have done tat but probelms is this it ask for LICENSE ACQUISIITION n then says THANKS FOR D/L THIS FILE CLICK PLAY TO LISTEN there it shows 2 buttons PLAY N CANCLE ... i click on PLAY n it starts playing but i cant hear nay sound or see nay thing just BALCK screen but TIMERS shows tat movie is playing ..... I CANT FOWRARD IT OR REWAIND IT ... IF I CLCIK ON TIME BAR TO FORWRAD IT IT COMES BACK WHERE IT WAS >.. PS: PREVIOUSLY I INSTALLED DVIX codecs n other codecs working fine but after tat update i just UNINSTALL MEDIA PLAYER ... didnt TOUCH any codecs they r still install .... SO HELP ME OUT GUYS .... PLZ THANKS IN ADVANCE

well, usually this "license acquisition" stuff occurs when u try to play "ahem ahem" movies in "wmv" format.

oh that license shyte..
i ahte it i ahte it i hate it i hate it. uuughhhhghgghg...... rrreeeeeeehjhhhhhahhh *turns all red* *nose starts to bleed* try system restore.... and dun update from MS site... they detected my office 2001 installation and wont update it... thanks GOd they dint corrupt it...

theek hai..
but u shud immeditely create a Restore Point as u dunt have any previous restore points... becuz when u disbale the System Restore... all the restore backups are removed.... wait.. niether way this means that u can recover ur system to the early stage before u updated ur media player... hmmmph

Install your div x codecs again, FUCK windows media player, Install Jet Audio instead.
Windows media player mein to file rewind/forward bhi nahi hoti pata nahi kya banaya hai inhon ney. Get Jet Audio...lot better.

I've installed this "K-Lite Codec Pack" and it runs every wmv, avi, mpg etc file... I got this from LAN from someone's PC, so i dont know where you could download it from. But its the best, there was this one avi file that wouldnt play. I tried installing uninstalling then reinstalling DivX codecs and Gordian Knot and heck, but this thing did the job.
Try google-ing for the "K-Lite Codec Pack"... Here's what (part of) the readme says: Quote:

cateye.. yaar ghussa nahi kya mein ne... read my post again... sometimes i get too high and type frantically... so dunt know what to type what not..  and MD... it is not 8 men... its Many Men... by $0.5 :lol: and may i add that if u are wrong .. its the other way round... u owe me one dance now..
