Burnout Paradise on PC !

For some reason, Power Supplies and I don't get along,
Since I moved to Jubail my desktop rig's been sitting unused for a couple of months because I'm using my laptop. Unfortunately, I forgot to unplug the desktop machine from the power mains. Yesterday, I decided to turn on ol' reliable, I push the power button ... and Kaboom !
Something inside the power supply literally exploded, and a LOT of smoke started blowing out of it .... along with a sizzling barbecue style sound. I immediately disconnected the extension wire, and after a while, decided to open up the PSU.
There are two wet capacitors inside the PSU and they had both burst, spilling fluid all over the circuit, thus leading to an allout burnout.
I dont know if all other components like MB , RAM , HDDs etc are OK or not, but I share this story to warn you all :
MORAL OF THE STORY : If you're going on vacation / leaving for an extended period of time , UNPLUG YOUR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES ! Don't just turn them off, UNPLUG THEM
.... because if you dont unplug, the PSU of your applicance will stay charged up and if those capacitors dont get discharged, they might blow up.
P.S : @title : heh
