What a great Nation ... Always try to show how much shameless we are in a time of even great grief ... Thanks for telling me how funny the speech was, without even realizing that Zardari isn't a Urdu speaking person and that address was not planned coz the person who was going to get his Heaven by killing innocent dint told the news n venue before hand to Govt ...

in one of the speeches at our farewell diner before graduation, our principal and dean, came upto stage and gave a speech.he said that he dont want to give a speech in english cuz its not our native language..but in urdu,.. alot of fun was made of hm, but he also gained a lot of respect from those who understood his motive..

when musharaf came to power in 1998,in his great early days, his first speech was also in urdu, cuz it was our native language..while international media was bashing him, left and right for this, he stood his ground and stood tall...

zardari, no matter what kind of person he is,didnt give a speech in his native language..why? because, majority of the population in punjab wudnt understand him.. it was his valiant effort to suport a system of speech, that wasnt rehearsed, and neither had enuff time to even prepare a decent speech.... what stil matters most is that this bomb blast was a very serious issue.. if not for the tragic death of our local people but also international representatives..a person would be soo nervous in his position , no one can even dream of imagining..and instead , this speech makes it to absurdity and wit..

while i still dont wana get emotional attachment to this issue like smokenfog, i will still stand by the fact, that a speech is not the major issue, the cause and tragedy preceeding the speech is the issue,, if we all just cant keep our funny bones in check, atleast we should be respectful to the dead and shut our mouths.... those who have left this world will nver come back..

If we consider mourning our fate; lets start mourning for the ppl got killed in lal mosque; dr aafia.... countless people our army sold to USA, and yea, for about 100;s of people who die daily in nwfp just to fuel the fact we are fighting against 'FUCKING' terrorism....

It is very easy to derive that I am with the ppl who blew marriot, but no, I am not... I hate terrorism - the terrorism done by our army, and the terrorism done as counter.. coz in both cases, our country men are giving their lives for someone else' cause.

Eff-Kay - If our army was deliberately targeting civilians in FATA, you'd be seeing causalities in the thousands (believe me, for modern day weapons are more than just good at raining death) instead of it's present toll. Can you say the same about the pseudo-jehadists who's pure intention is to kill as many innocents and civilians as they possibly can?

That said, yes, for the longest time our army has been responsible for the very creation and protection of such elements. That however does not absolve these people of their crime.

yar he gave his speech in the parliament was in english .. and I think that one was important as well ...

hmm... I am not taking any sides, but their targets for last couple of years have been of military/foreign important. It seems as if they are trying their best! But I honestly think that their success rate indicates the involvement of foreign hand.

Eff-kay - Blind use of force would amount to raping, mass-murdering, butchering people. That is what happened in East-Pakistan. Is that the case in Fata? Instead of using NAPALM or heavy dumb bombs why use aging F-16s, the only planes capable of firing smart bombs.

As for the head-count, what do you suggest is the true head count? How are you automatically considering all causalities in these areas to be those of innocents? That and suggesting that these folks have only been targeting military installations (have there been no civilian casualties in any of those attacks?)
