Of course, 80,000.

One can't even get a good blowjob in 8,000 these days.

Makro is a thug (urdu wala). They have cheap prices on some items, while really high prices on others (cosmetics, electronics, imported stuff).

That's where they make up their margins and profits. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I saw Series 4 32" incher for Rs. 55,000 (final price) at Samsung's official showrooms, and a couple of thousand cheaper at Abid market.
Series 3 special promotion price was Rs. 45,000 all through Ramadan, should be the same now. Before that, it was retailing for exactly Rs. 50,000, or even slightly less.

So was Sony S Series 400 32", it was in the middle between Samsung's Series 3 and Series 4 price. Around Rs. 52,000.

Yeah, your family is quite right here. Well 32" is pretty decent. Of course the bigger the better.

But you've got to keep in mind that in most developed countries, Samsung is even phasing out it's Series 6, while here we are still stuck in Series 3. And that to with a very high premium on price. In a perfect world, a 32" Series 3 would be no more than Rs. 32,000 round abouts, but no, they add taxes, plus greedy shopkeepers, and low demand, and literally no competition means they charge what every they want. Likewise a 40" in these models (Series 4) should run no more than Rs. 60,000, instead it's Rs. 90,000 official and at best five thousands less at retail outlets.
This is something you gotta live with, and ask yourself whether it is worth the extra and insane jump in price for those extra inches. Not just extra price (I'm okay with it, internationally), but extra Pakistani premium. That's why I said your family was is right, but it'll come down to your choice, of course. Like I said, the extra premium is insane and inhuman. Samsung's Series 6 which is being phased out, has to models (the glossy one and the regular matte finish). The regular matte finish screen 40" which is full 1080p of course, retails for Rs. 110,000. And the glossy one is outrageously priced close to RS. 160,000. While in most countries you can get the glossy one, the red and black bezel finish for US$ 1,000 = Rs. 80,000. And even then they are getting rid of it, and moving onto Series 7, 8, 9, and LED 6000, 7000, etc.

So it all comes down to whether you're willing to pay the extra premium for some extra screen estate. I'd have wholeheartedly recommended it if the prices were right, or you/we were in US, UK, etc.

Ah, congrats. Series 3 is pretty decent, but I'd actually have settled for nothing less than Series 4 (it's shape is much better, plus better contrast ratio and features).

But for starters, Series 3 isn't a bad option, in fact, very good. And Rs. 50,000 is a good price, as well.

I'm pretty sure I saw Series 6 at Samsung's official showroom (in fact, two official showrooms, one in Iqbal Town and other in Garden Town) starting at Rs. 110,000.

One can maybe get it down slightly, of course. This was the matte finish one. The glossy, red and black Crystal design was much higher in price. Either way, I'm interested in how you got the 95k figure. Unless it's a baggage piece, then maybe you can get it for this price.
