Microsoft started rolling out Windows 10 Redstone 2 Preview build 14926 to both PCs and mobile devices earlier this week. While the PC build is reportedly going smooth, some Windows Insider members are facing installation problems with the Windows 10 Mobile build.

Users are receiving an error message 800703ed after they have started the update process. The installation fails after displaying the above error code. Microsoft is working to fix the issue. But, if you are unable to update to Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build 14926, there is a quick workaround.

Fix Windows 10 Mobile 14926 installation error

Microsoft’s Program Manager for the Windows Insider Engineering Team, Jason, has posted a solution on Twitter. He has suggested that Windows 10 Mobile users should try removing the SD card from their mobile devices. Once you have removed the card, try to install the Windows 10 Mobile Preview 14926 again, and it should work.

He clarified that the workaround isn’t guaranteed. However, following his tweet many users reported that they have successfully installed the latest build on their Windows 10 Mobile devices.

Have you faced any installation troubles with the latest Insider Preview build? Don’t forget to try this workaround and let us know if it fixed the issue for you.

Wednesday’s release finally started bringing in some new changes and improvements to the Fast ring. Still haven’t installed the build? Go to the announcement post for a changelog to help you decide if you want to install the build right away. Remember, if you are running a very old Preview build, your systems will stop booting completely starting October 15. So make sure, you are on the Redstone 2 to avoid these troubles later on.
