Here’s a complete step by step guide on how to edit or delete the caption of your Instagram post on both iPhone and Android.

Made a Mistake While Adding a Caption to your Instagram Post? Edit or Delete it on the Fly

We don’t live in a perfect world, and our social media posts aren’t perfect all the time. So, whenever that odd burger drops in front of your table and you make your mind up to share it with the rest of the world on Instagram, there are things that are bound to go wrong in sheer excitement. For instance, you might get the name of the burger wrong, or just mess up a hashtag completely with a typo. When that happens, our immediate port of call is to delete the entire post and start all over, mistake-free. Thankfully though, you will be pleased to learn that those days are a thing of the past. Why? Because Instagram lets you edit or delete your post caption on the fly, so you do not have to take down your masterpiece just because of false facts or a typo.

4. See those three little dots at the top right hand corner? Tap on them, and then select Edit.

5. The keyboard will immediately pop up, allowing you to make any sort of change to the caption. Once you are done, simply tap on the Done button at the top right hand corner.

And just like that, you were able to alter your Instagram post to the point you originally intended it to be. Apart from the caption itself, you can add location data to your post as well if you so desire. This makes it easier for people to see where the photo was taken. But do keep in mind that you have to grant Instagram location services access before you can do so. If you are find with it, then make the changes and hit that Done button.
