Yesterday, publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that a new Dragon Ball video game project was going to be announced today. As many speculated in the past few hours, the new project is indeed the sequel to last year’s Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be released in North America some time this year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The European release has been confirmed but a date hasn’t been specified, but it shouldn’t be too far from the North American launch date. An announcement trailer has also been made available, and you can check it out right below.

Not much has been said regarding Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 features and how it will differ from its predecessor. Bandai Namco confirmed that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will feature the largest and most detailed Dragon Ball world ever created, a new hub city, plenty of customization choices, new features and special upgrades. More Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be shared during E3 2016, which will be held between June 14 and June 16th.

“The Dragon Ball franchise is a crown jewel and a perennial fan-favorite of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s robust anime video game portfolio and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will build upon that illustrious legacy. With Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, we’re working diligently with the Dimps team to pull out all the stops and push the Dragon Ball video game experience to new heights.”

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 launches this year in North America on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. More on the next game developed by Dimps based on the series created by Akira Toriyama will be coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
