It seems that Namco Bandai and From Software are really pushing the limit with the PC community by making the PC version of Dark Souls nothing more than a complete copy of the XBOX 360 version of the game, The game MIGHT not have an adjustable resolution and will be locked at 720p (This could more likely be texture quality rather than game resolution) and what makes the deal even “better” is the game will be locked at 30 FPS. But this shouldn’t be much of a problem for the PC community who can surely find a way to go around this and beat the system,
From Software and Namco Bandai have made it sure that the PC community gets Dark Souls for the PC but at the same time are digging their own grave with the same community. Before PC players were cooperative with the companies in respect to what they were doing with the game but today they crossed a line when the company declared that the PC version of Dark Souls may not even come with a improved texture quality or even go past 30 FPS, its obvious that From Software and Namco are not aware of the power of current generation gaming hardware or its capabilities but through the unification of the PC community as a whole they were able to turn an ugly Resident Evil 4 PS 2 port into much more with even slightly improved graphics and lighting and not to mention the modifications happening in Street Fighter 4 for the PC with costumes.

While the game will come with additional content for the PC players as an added “bonus” I would say that the price that comes with the game such as locked FPS, resolution and the possible implementation of GFWL will definitely upset a lot of PC gamers. So far it would seem ridiculous of them to lock the game resolution so the interview probably means they are locking the “texture quality” at 720p.
