Among the new features coming to Dark Souls 3, the latest entry in the series developed by From Software now available on PC and consoles, with the Ashes of Ariandel DLC is a brand new arena mode, which will further expand the experience. A few hours ago, a new trailer showcasing this new mode has been made available online.

The new Dark Souls 3 focuses the different allegiances available in the full game, such as Mound-Makers, Farron Watchdogs, the popular Sunbros, allegiances that do influence the multiplayer portion of the game as well as on the brand new arena mode, which promises to expand the multiplayer experience even further.

Mound-Makers, Farron Watchdogs, Blade of the Darkmoon, Sunbros… Have you chosen your allegiance in Dark Souls III ? Will you help souls in distress, or betray your closest allies? Ashes of Ariandel will improve on the acclaimed multiplayer mode of Dark Souls III, with a new PvP arena. Infuse your weapons, refill your Estus and prepare to roll. It’s time to fight, Ashen Ones.

Last month, From Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki talked about the new Dark Souls 3 DLC, confirming that both Ashes of Ariandel and the second pack coming next year will be part of the same, but with a different feel. In Ashes of Ariandel, the team wanted to evoke a sense of solitude and thus chose to introduce the snowfield seen in a previous trailer. The open field also allowed the team to implement a different structure from the main game.

Dark Souls 3 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Ashes of Ariandel DLC launches on October 25th in all regions.
