OnePlus One smartphone had been facing some serious touchscreen sensitivity issues lately. OnePlus sems to have taken notice to it after serious investigation and hypothesis. The resultant most possible cause to the dilemma was a software hiccup and the best way to resolve it would be a software update.

OnePlus ensured its users on its official forum page that the problem does not involve hardware insulation but requires just an update of the firmware. They were right because the latest update of CyanogenMod 12.1 is reported to have fixed the touchscreen abnormalities on the OnePlus One handset. If you are an effected user, we have the download link for the CyanogenMod 12.1 that we will tell you later on in this post.

Touchscreen Issue Fixed By An Updated Firmware, At Last!

According to a number of posts on Reddit, the new release of the update, eliminates the touchscreen issues. A new pair of synaptic was fused with the firmware that dealt with bad touchscreen that (viola) eradicated the dilemma. The forum member of the OnePlus said that the update has been released and it has the fix. One of the forum members said:

“Everyone with touchscreen issues should try Flashing latest cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly. I just wiped dalvik/cache/system and flashed the rom, so i didn’t lose any app). This is because they kinda fixed it by adding something related to the touchscreen,”

Do take note of another thing. If the update does not cure the issue, you are advised to wait for the final firmware to arrive that will have the fix. Since the final update is still in the research and development phase, it would be best if one waited. Another post on the forum stated:

Update 15 May:┬áThe new firmware is ready and under testing. Early signs are very encouraging for the small amount of users who have been having touchscreen issues. If after the update you still face issues, our support team is on standby ready to help!”
