Several new devices are being able to get Jelly Bean in the form of CM 10 and CM 10.1 ports on daily basis for the last few months. After the unofficial CM 10.1 builds for the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+, Samsung Galaxy Fit GT5670 and Galaxy Ace posted by XDA members made their ways out, Galaxy Player 5 and Straight Talk Galaxy S II have joined the league too.

XDA forum members released the unofficial CM10 and CM10.1 ports for the Galaxy Player 5 and Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy S II today.

The Galaxy Player 5 port is a very early release with loads of improvements still to be done to make it running for the daily use. CM 10 and CM 10.1 for Galaxy Player 5 currently do not have Bluetooth, Camera and earpiece functional. Though, the sound from the speaker on the back can do it for you but for earpieces you will have to wait for the next release. On international version, the capacitive buttons are also not working and only the earphones with a built-in microphone can be deemed as functional. But since this is a very early release and port work is still in progress so hopefully these issues will be finely settled out soon in the upcoming release.

Coming to the Straight Talk Galaxy S II, the port is based on Android 4.2.1 and should work as fine as a daily driver. The developer has also provided plenty of useful features like ClockworkMod recovery, stock and AOSP modems, and the stock factory image and flashing instructions to get a clean and perfect start.
