We’ve seen plenty of leaks and information related to the iPhone 6 surface over the past couple of weeks, or even months. These range from the cost of the device to it’s design details and even end up covering a new flagship device called the iPhone ‘Air’. Details have appeared which end up covering how Apple hopes to manufacture the device as well as how the actual front facade of the phone reportedly looks like. Well, we have more news for you today and this time it doesn’t cover design, manufacture or the release date of the phone, so you can breathe a sigh of relief. Chinese website sohu.com is reporting what it believe the battery size on both the variants of the iPhone 6 will be.

Both Variants Of The iPhone 6 To Get Increased Battery Sizes. 4.7 inch Variant To Be In 1800-1900 mAh Range – 5.5 Inch To Get A Battery Of 2500 mAh

Both the variants of the upcoming iPhone 6 are to get increased battery sizes according to the Chinese site. The 4.7 inch version of the smartphone is to get a battery within a range of 1800-1900 mAh. Meanwhile, the 5.5 inch variant of the device is expected to get a battery with a capacity of 2500. Speaking in terms of relative development at Apple, the range of 1800-1900 mAh battery on the iPhone 6 is indeed an improvement from the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. Both have a battery of 1560 mAh. This leads to a 20 % increase, which is an achievement. But before we get too happy, we need to factor in a couple of things first. The iPhone 6 is to feature several upgrades and improvements over it’s predecessor as we’ve continued to inform you tirelessly. These come in the form of a better processor, a larger screen size, a better resolution and perhaps even more sensors.

These can very well be expected to quickly eat up any spare battery life (20%) that Apple has managed to increase for it’s flagship device. Since the iPhone 6 is undoubtedly expected to be thinner than its predecessors, so perhaps this was the best Apple could do. But nevertheless, it seems like battery life might still be a problem we’re going to have to face on the upcoming iPhone 6. Guess you can’t nail every hammer folks. The 5.5 inch variant of the iPhone 6 is expected to get a battery of 2500 mAh, which does indeed sound better. But it is behind several devices in the market currently, if Apple is aiming for the ‘phablet’ sector of the market. All we can do is wait and see how it turns out.
