More on our earlier story about the white iPhone being delayed; this particular device is expected to go on Verizon, and it just might be Apple first CDMA iPhone. A blogger by the name of Rich Rich has posted on his website live shots of a CDMA iPhone prototype in the testing phase. The prototype is said be codenamed N92DVT (Device Verification Test).
According to Rich, the device seems to have its origins from a “repair shop in Vietnam”, which if you all remember happens to be the place where pictures of pre-launch Apple devices like the iPhone 4 cropped up earlier this year. The photos depict a test OS, but the authenticity of these photos cannot be verified yet. However, Will “cdevwill” Strafach of the Chronic Dev Team has something to say on the matter here and here.
