Netflix has officially announced its latest feature that allows a user to download content for offline viewing later on.

Catch Up on Movies, TV Shows & More With Netflix’ New Offline Feature

An Internet connection is a must if you are planning to watch something on Netflix. But starting today, Netflix will allow users to download content straight onto their device and watch it later on if they so wish. This ensures you do not incur any sort of data cost while at the same time catch up on what you have missed in the entertainment world. This feature is perfect for times if you are traveling on a plane or just want to continue binge watching something from last night on the subway.

While many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we’ve often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things binge while on airplanes and other places where Internet is expensive or limited. Just click the download button on the details page for a film or TV series and you can watch it later without an internet connection.

At the time of writing a lot of content is available for download directly from Netflix. More is on the way as time rolls on. So, if your favorite movie or TV show is not available to watch offline, don’t panic, it will be very soon.

Many of your favorite streaming series and movies are already available for download, with more on the way, so there is plenty of content available for those times when you are offline. For example, Orange is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown are available for download today.

In order to download content for offline viewing, simply open up the movie or TV show you wish to download first. Once at its landing page, tap on the ‘Download’ button which looks like a downward facing arrow with a small dash underneath it. The download can take quite a while depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

Netflix Is Reportedly Getting Offline Mode By The End Of This Year

The new offline feature is available starting today on both iOS and Android. If you haven’t downloaded the app already, then you can do so by clicking on the link below.

If you are fond of TV shows and movies, then we would recommend giving Netflix a shot. The service offers a free trial if you are signing up for the first time as well. During that time period you can easily make up your mind whether or not you want to stick around or not. If you do though, plans start at a measly $7.99 going all the way up to $11.99 that allows you stream content on multiple displays at the same time.

The final choice is yours though.
