BIOSTAR Announces AMD990FX Chipset based T-Series TA990FXE Motherboard

BIOSTAR has announced its new High End T-Series TA990FXE Motherboard which is based on AMD’s 990FX chipset and features the AM3+ Socket to support the upcoming Bulldozer FX Processors. The motherboard featuring the ATX Form Factor and High Quality Components is aimed towards Enthusiasts Overclockers and Gamers.

The TA990FXE is equipped with AMD990FX chipset which is combined with a SB950 Southbridge and the AM3+ Socket which allows compatibility with Bulldozer FX and current Phenom based Processors. Equipped with a total of 4 DDR3 DIMM Slots which support Dual Channel Memory Configurations for memory frequencies upto 1866+ Mhz and overclocked 2000Mhz. Expansion slots include 3 PCI-e x16 2.0 (x16, x16, x4) which support CrossfireX Mode, PCI-e x1 2.0 and 2 PCI Legacy slots.

Storage and I/O options include five SATA3 6Gbit/s slots supporting SATA RAID 0,1,5,10, three USB 3.0 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, FireWire IEEE 1394a, 10/100/1000 Mbit/s LAN and 8-channel HD Audio. The High Quality Components on the board includes high-quality solid capacitors, BIOSTAR G.P.U (Green Power Utility) for optimal power consumption at low system load, an exclusive overclocking system, the Rapid Switch for quick restart, the Rapid Debug for hardware debugging with the help of a LED light, the BIOS Flasher and the BIOS Relife for updating or recovering BIOS from a USB drive, and the BIO-Remote 2 for remote control of home media system components from Android and Apple mobile devices. The motherboard is also bundled with T-Overclocking Software for a rich overclocking experience.
