Bandai Namco has released new details on a new playable character, new multiplayer modes and more for the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

In an official press release, Bandai Namco has revealed that Vegeta’s darkest side, Majin Vegeta, will be playable in Xenoverse 2. Additionally, the press release mentions that the amount of quests have increased to twice the amount of the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse.

Players will have the opportunity to embody one of the most awaited and emblematic characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe. The darkest side of Vegeta will get a chance to gain the upper hand once again as Majin Vegeta.

The amount of quests have increased to twice the amount of the previous game as it will also   include new versions of parallel quests from the first Xenoverse game as well as a new system for rare item drops that will allow players to hunt for their ideal costumes and accessories.

The game’s multiplayer online mode was also detailed, and it seems that some modes from the original Xenoverse will be returning, but Xenoverse 2 will also introduce the all-new 6vs1 Expert Mission mode.

Players will also be able to enjoy a variety of returning, enhanced and new online modes as they will be able to fight with their own unique avatars in ranked or un-ranked matches. Endless fights will also be available together with the choice of using zero stat avatars for the ultimate showdown in pure fighting skills. A new ground breaking 6vs1 Expert Mission mode will challenge even the best of players in a very entertaining way as six players try to take down a single NPC boss! Pay attention to your group members as your enemy will do everything they can to separate you by sending you or your allies into a different dimension where sub challenges will have to be overcome.

An upcoming open beta for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be detailed later. Xenoverse 2 is scheduled for a release on October 28 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
