So today I see a new addition to the Ubisoft YouTube channel and what I find is indeed a sight to behold, it seems that Ubisoft is FINALLY giving the combat system an upgrade, While I used to counter attack enemies in Assassins Creed 1 & 2 it seems that the player can have more controls over his weapons in this game, you can mix it up with the Hidden Blade and the Hidden gun and deliver a devastating yet painful finishing attack on an enemy.

It seems that Ubisoft has finally given the option of finishing off an enemy more quickly and easily rather than constantly spamming him with the sword or waiting for them to attack you so that you can perform a counter kill on them. There also seems to be a new way to kill enemies called “BAM” (Brotherhood Assisted Move) in which Ezio and one of his Assassin Buddies helps out in killing a mutual foe. BAM can definitely be used to take down multiple targets and can prove really helpful in the game, I am glad to see that for once there will be an Assassins Creed game in which you FINALLY get some help. Assassins Creed 1 & 2 always put you in as a “lone wolf” who hardly or never got help from anyone else in the game and you had to kill dozens if not more guards by your self which at times proved REALLY frustrating

The beta for the PS3 has been put on hold for now and the release date for this installment of the game is still for November 16th 2010. Let’ hope Ubisoft stays on track with this game.
