ASRock FM2A85X Extreme6 Motherboard For AMD A-Series APU Unveiled

ASRock is preparing a new motherboard for the launch of AMD’s A-Series APU – The ASRock FM2A85X Extreme6 utilizing top of the line quality components in a feature-rich packed design based on the latest FM2 Socket and A85X Chipset.

The ASRock FM2A85X Extreme6 would be the flagship of the A85X series motherbaords from ASRock featuring support of upto 100W FM2 processors. The motherboard packs a  8 + 2 Power Phase Design with Gold Solid Ccaps and Digi Power design. The motherboard allows Dual Channel memory support with rated speed of upto 2600MHz+ (O.C).

Expansion slots on the motherboard include three PCI Express 2.0 x16 capable of operating in 3-Way CrossFireX (electrical: x8/x8/x4). The motherboard offers Lucid’s Virtu MVP which allows a discrete graphics solution to combine with the iGPU on the CPU die to work cooperatively for enhanced performance. Storage options on the A85X Extreme6 include 8 x SATA3, 4 x USB 3.0 Ports from the A85X chipset. ASRock has added several exclusive features to the board such as ASRock X-Boost, XFast 555, Fast Boot, Restart to UEFI, OMG, Dehumidifier, Easy RAID Installer, Interactive UEFI while I/O includes 7.1 CH HD Audio with Content Protection powered by the Realtek ALC892 chip, Gigabit Ethernet Lan, SPDIF, D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort for display outputs.


The ASRock FM2A85X Extreme6 would hit retail within this week, Launch of the FM2 Processors is expected tomorrow. More details on the motherboard here.
