We already reported two new bulldozer FX-8130P videos this morning over here, Well the guy who uploaded them has posted another video of the same chip this time benchmarked against the Intel Core i5 2500K. The FX-8130P chip is part of the B0 revision which were delayed because of performance issues as reported by various tech sites and AMD will launch a B2 revision of its FX Processors in Q3 2011.
Being an engineering sample and B0 chip, The CPU runs at a stock frequency of 3.2Ghz but the user overlocked both chips to 4Ghz while DDR3 memory for both was clocked to 2000Mhz. Again a set of three benchmarks were used to compare the processors.
Following are the results:
Super Pi (1m):
AMD FX-8130P: 21.456 sec
Core i5 2500K: 9.345 sec
AID64 CPU Benchmark:
AMD FX-8130P: 16724MB Read/ 10804MB Write/ 21071MB Copy
Core i5 2500K: 22359MB Read/ 20723MB Write/ 23677MB Copy
AMD FX-8130P: 5.66 Points
Core i5 2500K: 5.79 Points
Very Disappointing results, I am not saying anything against AMD but these benchmarks (If Real) show how much of a performance issue was there with AMD’s current revision due to which it had to delay its Bulldozer platform, Also the pricing chart which leaked here showed that the FX-8130P will cost $320 which is $100 more than the i5 2500K yet it lags behind being a 8 Core model. I really doubt the video, I hope AMD releases it Bulldozer lineup soon for a real comparison. You can check out the video below:
